DSO Approval:
No one shall dive within the framework of the institute without receiving approval from theDSO.

Valid insurance:
Every diver must have valid dive insurance that covers scientific diving (Guest Divers require insurance for recreational diving).

C.Medical examinations:
Every diver (except Guest Divers) must undergo a medical examination by a dive physician, as follows:

Up to Age 40 (every five years)

Fill out a medical declaration.
General urine test.
Examination by a dive physician.
Over Age 40 (every three years)

Fill out a medical declaration.
General urine test.
Chest X-ray (only required during the first examination after turning 40).
Blood lipid test.
Fasting blood glucose test.
Resting ECG (above age 45, a stress ECG is required).
Coronary heart disease assessment based on risk factors.
Examination by a dive physician.
Over Age 60 (every two years)

Fill out a medical declaration.
Provide medical history.
Comprehensive physical examination, with an emphasis on neurological and otological components.
General urine test.
Blood lipid test.
Fasting blood glucose test.
Stress ECG.
Coronary heart disease assessment based on risk factors.
Examination by a dive physician.
Mandatory Rescue Diver Course (every two years):
Every scientific diver must complete a "rescue procedure refresher" course—valid for two years.
