This department is responsible for budget planning and control, accounting, procurement and suppliers, service orders, personnel, and human resources.

This department is responsible for all teaching activities at the institute, including academic courses, seminars and professional training, scientific activities for the community, and guided tours at the institute.

This department provides services to researchers and students coming to the institute to conduct their research, from the planning stage through the coordination of research infrastructure and facilities to the actual implementation. The unit is responsible for the operation and overall management of research infrastructure for the benefit of the researchers, including shared laboratories and interdepartmental scientific equipment, seawater experimental facilities, and oceanographic equipment.

The Marine Operations Department is responsible for managing the institute’s maritime activities, including the day-to-day operation and maintenance of research vessels, boats, and vehicles; the diving center and all diving activities; the pier facilities; and the technical support for diving equipment, gas filling, and safety procedures. The department ensures professional, safe, and efficient support for all marine research operations at the institute.

This department is responsible for the library and co-working spaces, meeting rooms, dormitories, dining areas and kitchens, and cleaning services.

This department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all buildings, facilities, and areas of the institute. It manages interactions with municipal authorities and various licensing bodies and oversees the contractors working at the institute. The unit provides support services and professional solutions for issues related to the institute's infrastructure.

This department is responsible for all aspects of communication (internet and telephony), networks, servers, computers, software, and audiovisual equipment. It provides support services and professional solutions for technical issues related to the institute’s equipment.

This department is responsible for all safety matters, enforcement, and training for proper and safe work for all visitors to the institute, as well as periodic training for institute staff.

The National Monitoring Program is responsible for the comprehensive annual monitoring and measurement of fixed variables in the bay to track short-term and long-term ecological changes
