ELIC - Eilat Leibniz IUI Center

The Eilat Leibniz IUI Center (ELIC) is a joint cooperation framework between the Leibniz Association and the Interuniversity Institute for Marine Sciences in Eilat (IUI).

The purpose of ELIC is to develop and strengthen the cooperation between the two organizations in the field of marine sciences and related fields and may initially focus on: resilience of corals to environment changes, new compounds from marine organisms, natural products, interaction between micro-biomes in reefs, Lagrangian oceanography and ocean-atmosphere interface processes.

Possible forms of cooperation include: joint research activities, methods training (lab methods, scientific diving), organizing summer/winter schools in the framework of structured doctoral programs, establishment of a joint lab at IUI, and others.

For more information on ELIC please see here.

The Leibniz Association connects 91 independent research institutions that range in focus from the natural, engineering and environmental sciences via economics, spatial and social sciences to the humanities.
